We came across these 2 interesting videos demonstrating the coating technology used on TDK Blu-ray media. It is called DURABIS2 but initially referred to as Super Hard Coating. This is basically an innovative technology which reinforces and protects the recording surface of BD media products. This coating is what makes Blu-rays more resistant against smudges, scratches, and dust. Check the videos below:
